Brandon Community Center

The Brandon Community Center is managed by the county parks,
recreation, and conservation department.
- Located two blocks north of Hwy. 60, west of Kingsway, the
center is open until 10pm.
- 2 Large rooms available- directly beside each other
- Children’s play area equipped with TVs (group will bring age
appropriate toys)
- Meeting room can accommodate up to 175 people
- Large Ballroom can be booked for special events requiring more
space (holiday party, guest speakers).
- Kitchen
- Great picnic facility with two play areas for group events
- Well lit parking area adjacent to the main building
- One staff member has Down Syndrome
Our group meets the first Friday of each month.
- Entire family can attend meetings to benefit
- Generate higher attendance since no pressures of school or work
the next day
- Allows families to socialize after meetings
- Only two 3-day weekends during calendar year 2006 Labor Day and
Columbus Day (which is no longer a Hillsborough County school
Holiday)
